Q: Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor or massage therapist?
No referral is needed. You can book directly with us for assessment or treatment. All you have to do is call or use our easy online booking system.
Q: What happens at my first visit?
You’ll get a thorough assessment, clear diagnosis, and a written plan tailored to your needs (plus answers to every question). We never rush or pressure you.
Q: How is Riverbend different from other clinics?
We’re Edmonton’s only orthopedic specialist–led chiropractic clinic. You get advanced diagnostics, honest advice, no sales pitches, and our Clarity Guarantee: real answers or your assessment is free.
Q: Do you direct bill insurance?
Yes. We handle direct billing to most major insurers for chiropractic and massage services, so you have fewer out-of-pocket costs.
Q: Do you treat children, babies, seniors or pregnant women?
Yes. Our gentle, personalized approach is safe and effective at every age and life stage. We adjust care for children, expectant moms, and older adults.
Q: How quickly will it take to find relief?
Many patients notice improvement within a few visits, but results depend on your condition. We focus on lasting solutions, not just quick fixes.
Q: Is chiropractic safe?
Absolutely. With advanced orthopedic expertise, we tailor every treatment to you, explain all options, and only suggest what’s necessary for your situation.
Q: Can I get chiropractic and massage on the same day?
Absolutely. Many patients combine services for better and faster results. We’ll help coordinate your visits for convenience.
Q: What is the Clarity Agreement?
If we can’t explain your pain and next steps better than anyone else, your first assessment is free. We’re committed to answers.
Q: Will I need x-rays or advanced imaging, such as an MRI or CT?
Only if medically necessary. Most patients don’t, but our orthopedic expertise ensures you get the right diagnostics (never unnecessary tests). If required, we can refer you for these tests, or review any imaging findings on Alberta Netcare.
Q: What should I bring to my appointment?
Bring any insurance, or third party insurance information (such as your MVA or WCB claim number). Please also wear something comfortable that you can move well in. Please also fill out the intake paperwork before your first visit. That way when you arrive, we can help you that much quicker.
Q: How long is a typical chiropractic appointment?
Your first chiropractic visit with us is typically 30-40 minutes. Follow up visits are typically between 10-20 minutes.
Q: Will I have to sign up for a long treatment plan?
Never. Your care plan is transparent, including options and milestones. No contracts, no “package” pressure.
Q: Do you offer emergency or same day appointments?
Yes. We do our best to accommodate emergency or same-day requests. All you have to do is call, and we’ll fit you in as soon as possible.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
We ask that you give 24-hours notice if you need to cancel. That said, we understand life happens. Just let us know as soon as you can.
Q: Can family members join appointments or consultations?
Absolutely. Family is always welcome. We even encourage bringing your littles so they get comfortable with our doctors, and staff and understand there’s nothing to be nervous about if they ever need care.
Q: Do you offer care outside regular business hours?
Yes. We provide evening and weekend appointments to make it easier for you and your family to get the care you need.
