See the plan (know exactly what to expect)
This isn’t another run–a–round treatment plan that works for everyone. It’s a personalized treatment plan to get you back on your feet (and back in your running shoes).
Dr. Joseph Tanti
My mission is simple: help you move better, feel better, and get back to doing the things you love—without pain holding you back.I’m a Chiropractic Orthopaedic Specialist and a Diplomate of the International Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine. In plain English? I specialize in diagnosing and treating muscle, joint, disc, nerve, and tendon problems. The kinds of issues that get in the way of daily life, work, play, and everything in between.
Whether you're dealing with nagging pain that’s been bothering you for months or a more serious injury that’s limiting your quality of life, my job is to figure out what’s going on and help you get back on track. I take an evidence-informed, hands-on approach that’s tailored to your unique situation. Some people need rehab. Some need adjustments. Some need a game plan. I work with what you need.
I’ve been lucky to train at some of the top institutions in Canada. I hold a B.Sc. in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph and earned my Doctor of Chiropractic from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. I later completed advanced training to become a Fellow of the College of Chiropractic Orthopaedic Specialists (Canada) and currently serve on their board. I’m also certified in acupuncture and stay active with professional organizations like the Chiropractic Association of Alberta, Canadian Chiropractic Association, and College of Chiropractors of Alberta.
I became the proud owner of Riverbend Chiropractic & Wellness in 2024. When I’m not at the clinic, you’ll find me chasing around my young sons, or spending time with my (very patient) wife.

A rehab plan that speaks your language
It’s not a quick crack (and see you when it hurts again).
Dr. Ethan Marler
I have a passion for helping people move more confidently and live pain‐free. In the clinic, I will work with you to deliver personalized, evidence‐based care. This includes combining manual therapies, thoughtful at home progressions, and practical education for addressing root causes and building long‐term resilience.
I believe treatment plans should be evidence‐based and personalized. This includes where your goals lead us, how the research guides us, and how to look beyond the symptoms to address the patterns driving the pain or performance limits.
Treatment plans should match what you want most: whether that’s finishing a 10K, returning from an injury, or simply moving without pain. You should walk out of each appointment feeling in control of your progress, with a clear understanding of what is going on and the next steps in our actionable strategy.
While I grew up going to a chiropractor for my athletic injuries, the first time I really considered becoming one myself was in my high school Sports Medicine class, sparking a fascination with human movement and anatomy. That led to my undergraduate studies in Kinesiology at the University of Alberta, where I earned early acceptance into the University of Western States (UWS) Chiropractic program in Portland, Oregon. At UWS, I completed my Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and got my Doctor of Chiropractic (DC).
Born and raised in Sherwood Park, I grew up playing hockey, basketball, track & field, and cross‐country, but playing soccer was my real passion and I played competitively until leaving for school in Portland.
When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll find me and Macie (my Golden) on the field, weight training, running, playing video games, or anxiously watching the Edmonton Oilers.

Pain relief from head to toe
Real goals. Real tasks. Real limits. A real plan designed to leave something for yourself at the end of the day.

I'm a registered massage therapist with Natural Health Practitioners of Canada. I took my massage training at MacEwan University and have been at Riverbend Chiropractic & Wellness since 2003.
I specialize in deep tissue massage, sports massage, myofascial release, as well as myofascial cupping.
My practice expanded to include Rapid Neurofascial Reset and I became a specialist in that field in 2019.
Rapid Neurofascial Reset (shortened to RNFR or Rapid) is focused on the central nervous system.
Rapid is not a massage treatment, rather it is a soft tissue treatment which can be combined with a massage or be an independent treatment. Using soft tissue movements, it helps to relieve restrictions in the muscles, fascia and ligaments which surround the nerves.
Rapid rarely requires a client to undress and often clients will have to move into several positions during a session.
Most clients report a 20-50% improvement of their initial complaint after their first session.

Regulate your nervous system (not just your spine)
Why deep tissue massage therapy belongs in your rehab plan (not just your self-care list).
Emma Hurd
I am a graduate of MacEwan University’s 2200-hour Massage Therapy Program. I am passionate about providing individualized care by tailoring treatments to each client’s unique needs and wellness goals. And I value creating a supportive and relaxing environment.
My therapeutic approach to massage therapy includes a combination of myofascial release, deep tissue and relaxation techniques to help clients reduce tension, improve mobility, and support overall well-being. I focus on the importance of home care recommendations, empowering clients to extend the benefits of treatment, and maintaining relief between sessions.
I'm dedicated to helping clients feel their best so they can continue doing the activities they love, pain-free.
Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors with everything from camping, hiking, fishing, and exploring the mountains whenever possible.

Hands-on treatment as light as testing an avocado at the grocery store
Your pain tolerance is already tiring. You don’t need someone digging around just to prove a point.

I am an administrative assistant at the clinic and often the first person you will meet when you walk through our doors. Having personally experienced the challenges of car accidents, WCB claims, and chronic pain, I understand how difficult it is to navigate complex financial systems and manage a demanding schedule of appointments. My goal is to handle those burdens for you by managing your insurance and answering any questions you may have along the way.
I am passionate about supporting our patients because I believe care should be more than just a quick treatment. It is about building a personal connection and understanding your unique preferences to determine what is best for your well-being.
We tailor our treatments to meet the specific needs of everyone who seeks our help, whether you are a one-year-old, a 90-year-old, a businessman, or a tradesman. It is incredibly rewarding to be part of your healing journey and to provide a place where you can finally find relief and solutions that work.

Real care is a full system approach
Pain relief is not a nice idea. It is the right idea.
Rehab rhythm that fits your schedule
No rush. No pressure. Only a plan that fits your life.
